Brady Oliveira Brings Home MOP and MOC at CFL Awards
The Winnipeg native will look to add on to his MOP season on Sunday in the Grey Cup.
Brady Oliveria led the CFL at the awards show last night, winning both the Most Outstanding Canadian Award and the George Reed Most Outstanding Player Award. He was nominated for the MOP last year, but lost to Chad Kelly. He did win the MOC last year, making this the second straight year he has won.
Oliveria led the league in both rushing and scrimmage yards with 1353 rushing and 1829 total. He only scored 4 total touchdowns, but their backup quarterback Chris Strevler led the league in rushing touchdowns with 10, and Terry Wilson added 4 more.
Bo Levi Mitchell was the East Nominee for MOP. He had a franchise record 5451 passing yards and 32 touchdowns to 18 picks. Hamilton was 7-11 in their first full season of Bo.
Brady and the Bombers will play in the Grey Cup on Sunday the 17th against Toronto.
