Edmonton Elks’ Nick Anderson Wins Most Outstanding Rookie Over Shemar Bridges
The Edmonton Elks star said he didn’t prepare a speech and regretted it once he got on stage.
No speech, no problem. Nick Anderson led the league in total tackles, and was tied with teammate Nyles Morgan with 11 defensive tackles. The two of them are the first duo with 110-or-more defensive tackles in the same season.
Anderson was second in defensive plays with 130, and added 3 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and an interception.
Shemar Bridges was the East nominee. Bridges has a team high 83 receptions in just 15 games to set a rookie record for the Tiger-Cats. He had 933 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 30 catches for second down conversions.
