Former All-Star RB Ka'Deem Carey Joins Argos After Ouellette Leaves
Losing an All-Star is hard, but getting one is fun!
Just one day after becoming a free agent, a top RB free agent named Ka’Deem Carey has signed with the reigning regular season champs, the Toronto Argonauts.
The running back ran for 476 yards and added 21 receptions for 156 yards in 9 games with the Stampeders last year. He was named an All-Star in 2022 when he led the CFL with 1088 yards, 10 touchdowns and 28 catches for 248 yards in 14 games. In 2021, he also was an All-Star for being 2nd in Canada in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns.
Ka’Deem was drafted in the NFL by the Bears in the fourth round in 2014, and played 37 games in 3 seasons with 443 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns with 13 receptions for 131 yards and 1 touchdown. He joined the CFL in 2018 with that Stamps where he won the Grey Cup.
In college with the Arizona Wildcats he was a All-American in 2012 and 2013 and Pac-12 player of the year in 2013. In his collegiate years he ran for 4,239 yards and 48 TDs in 36 games with the desert.
