Gonzaga Goes Down In WCC Finals As Saint Mary's Wins Conference
Gonzaga loses 69-60 in WCC Finals to the Saint Mary's Gaels.
On Tuesday, the #1 Saint Mark’s Gaels beat the #2 Gonzaga Bulldogs 69-60 to end the Bulldogs streak in the WCC. Gonzaga had dominated the WCC the previous many years.
Saint Mary’s was led by Aidan Mahaney who had 23 points, 1 assist, and 2 rebounds. Mitchell Saxen was 2nd for the Gaels with 19 points, 15 rebounds, and 2 assists collecting the double-double. Last with 10+ points was Augustas Marciulionis who had 13 points, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds.
For the Zags, Anton Watson led them with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Gonzaga was held to a season-low 60 points. 2nd was Ryan Nambhard who had 13 points, 11 assists, and 2 rebounds. last was Graham Ike who had 10 points, 1 assist, and 5 rebounds.
