Marc-Andre Fleury Gets Win In 5-0 Shutout To Pass Patrick Roy For 2nd Place

Fleury gets 552nd win to pass Roy and be solely 2nd place in all time wins by a goalie.

Marc-Andre Fleury gained sole possession of 2nd in the NHL’s all-time in wins with his 21-save shutout against the Islanders last Monday. This was Fleury’s 522nd win as an NHL goalie.

Fleury tied Patrick Roy on Jan. 6 with a 4-3 win over Columbus. Martin Brodeur has 1st place with 691 wins.

“Finally, right? It’s been a little rough lately,” Fleury said in an interview. “I wish we could have done this a little while ago, right? But I think everybody knows, everyone in this room, that we try to work our best and try to win games, climb our way back, right, and tonight that was a great game against a good team and we got that one.”

This game was the Wild’s 6th straight win against the Islanders.
