McNeese State Downs Lamar, Won Second Straight SLC Championship

McNeese State won 63-54 yesterday to advance to March Madness again.

McNeese State is headed back to March Madness again after beating Lamar in the 2025 SLC Championship 63-54.

Quadir Copeland (Syracuse legend) dropped 18 points for McNeese, followed by DJ Richard’s Jr and Javohn Garcia with 10 each.

For Lamar, Alexis Marmolejos scored 18, Andrew Holifield had 15, and Adam Hamilton had 11. Both Marmolejos and Holifield had 9 rebounds, and Hamilton had 8 boards.

McNeese will see who they play on Sunday during the selection show.
