Montana Defeats Northern Colorado To Clinch Auto-bid

As the two tied the regular season title, Montana got the best of N Colorado in the championship.

Montana beat the one seeded Northern Colorado by a score of 91-83 in the Big Sky championship to go to their first NCAA tournament since 2019 and their 12th conference championship.

Kai Johnson led Montana in scoring with 23 points, followed by Brandon Whitney with 18, Joe Pridgen with 17, and Malik Moore with 15 points.

For Northern Colorado, Jaron Rillie scored 24 points, Langston Reynolds scored 18, Brock Wisne scored 15, and Isaiah Hawthorne with 14.

Montana will find out who they play on Sunday.
