Saskatchewan took the W on Saturday in a 28-19 win at home over BC to send them to Winnipeg for a Banjo Bowl rematch.
Saskatchewan’s defence dominated by allowing just 41 rushing yards on 11 carries, an average of 3.7 yards per carry. They also picked off Vernon Adams Jr. 3 times, one by Marcus Sayles, one by Rolan Milligan Jr, and one by Nelson Lokombo.
Vernon Adams Jr. was 20/33 passing with 317 yards, 2 touchdowns, and the three picks. Jevon Cottoy and Justin Mclinnis both had touchdowns with 82 and 66 yards respectively. Sean Whyte was 2/3 on field goals, with a long of just 36 yards.
For Saskatchewan, Trevor Harris was 26/33 with 270 yards and a touchdown. AJ Ouellette had 85 scrimmage yards, 70 rushing and 15 receiving, with 2 touchdowns on the ground. Samuel Emilus led the receivers with 106 yards. Brett Lauther was 2/2 on field goals with a long of 34 yards.
The Riders will head to Winnipeg to take on the Blue Bombers on Saturday at 6:30 PM EST.
