UNCW Denies Delaware’s Cinderella Run In CAA Championship

UNCW defeated the 12 seeded Delaware in the CAA Championship by a score of 76-72.

UNCW, the 2 seed for the CAA tournament defeated the 12 seeded Delaware team in the championship of the tournament. Delaware had many upset wins in their path to the championship.

Izaiah Pasha led the team in points with 21 and also rebounds with 8. Niels Lane scored 20 for Delaware, Cavan Reilly scored 13 points, and John Camden scored 12 and had 8 boards.

For UNCW, Donovan Newby led with 17, followed by Noah Ross with 14 and Bo Montgomery with 13.

UNCW is projected a 13 seed and playing Purdue in the first round.
