Vernon Adams Jr Headed To Calgary In Huge Trade
After missing the playoffs for the first time in 18 seasons, Calgary felt they needed to upgrade under centre and boy did they do that.
One of the big questions surrounding this offseason was where Vernon Adams Jr. would end up, and we finally got that answer. He is going to be a Stampeder next season.
The BC Lions received Calgary’s 2025 second round pick (9th overall), 2025 fourth round pick (29th overall) and their second round selection in the 2026 CFL Draft. As part of the deal, Calgary also receives a 2025 fourth round pick (32nd overall) and third round pick in 2026.
Stampeders general manager and head coach Dave Dickenson said, “We know he is a dynamic player and great leader and we look forward to him bringing his big talents to the Red and White.”
In 9 games this season as the starter, VA threw for 2,929 yards, 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions and had a 6-3 record.
