Matchup 1: Saskatchewan Roughriders 22 - 22 Ottawa Redblacks
This game had a very controversial finish, Ottawa had to go for 3rd & Long, and got sacked and fumbled the ball away. It should have ended the game, but the play went to the CFL Comand Centre, and they decided there was roughing the passer on Saskatchewan, giving Ottawa a first down. They went on to kick a field goal to end the game in a tie. Dustin Crum went 21/32 for 211 yards, no touchdowns, and 1 interception. Dru Brown left the game early with 55 yards on 6 completions. Dustin Crum ran for 72 yards and 1 touchdown. Shea Patterson had 30 completions in the tie, with 299 yards, 2 touchdowns, but 3 interceptions stopped them many times.
Matchup 2: Calgary Stampeders 25 - 39 Toronto Argonauts
Toronto got their revenge on Calgary with a 2 touchdown win. Nick Arbuckle got the start for Toronto and did not disappoint, bringing home a very much needed W for the Argos. Arbuckle went 18/26 collecting 181 passing yards, and 1 touchdowns and interception. Ka'Deem Carey had 89 rushing yards and 1 touchdown against his former team. Jake Maier had one of the best games of his young career with 373 yards on 33 completions for only 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Peyton Logan led the Stampeders in the running game with 61 yards and 1 touchdown.
Matchup 3: Hamilton Tiger-Cats 23 - 33 Montreal Alouettes
I've heard jokes about Klay Thompson being more washed than dishes after going through the dishwasher. I disagree, but I've found a replacement player. Bo Levi Mitchell is no longer a good CFL player even if he does lead the CFLis passing yards. He went 3/4 with 25 yards with one interception before getting benched for Taylor Powell on Saturday night. Powell went 30/38 with 319 yards with 2 touchdowns. He also ran for another 52 yards. Bo Levi's day of being Hamilton’s starter may be over. Davis Alexander played well for Montreal with 247 yards on 17 completions for 2 touchdowns. Charleston Rambo had 124 receiving yards and bought both touchdown passes for the Als.
Matchup 4: BC Lions 16 - 33 Edmonton Elks
The Elks are starting to turn their season around with their second straight win under Tre Ford. Tre Ford left the game late in the first half after a hit from behind where he landed on the ball, and was holding his ribs for most of the second half. He was 6/6 with 96 passing yards, and also had 11 rushing yards. The Elks led 16-10 when he left. McLeod Bethel-Thompson went 14/18 for 171 yards, 1 interception, and 1 touchdown. Javon Leake had another great game with 97 rushing yards and 1 more touchdown. Dakota Prukop also had a rushing touchdown for Edmonton. For BC, Jake Dolegala had 146 yards on 14 completions. Chase Brice came in later in the game and went 4/4 for 41 yards. BC signed Nathan Rourke and will be ready to go against Winnipeg next week.
Player Of The Week: CFL Comand Centre
There were no real standout players this week, and the Comand Centre saved the Redbacks, but cost Saskatchewan.
Game Of The Week: Saskatchewan Roughriders @ Ottawa Redblacks
This game was very exciting if you only watched the last 5 minutes and then overtime.
