I am excited to announce that
and I will be doing a colab the week before the CFL playoffs with our predictions. We aren’t sure how it will be set up, but I’m very excited to see what we finish with. I want to thank Sean for being such a loyal subscriber and amazing writer as well.Matchup 1: Winnipeg Blue Bombers (9-6) @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats (6-9)
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have been the hottest and most successful teams over the latest stretch. They have won 7 straight, and are 9-2 since their 0-4 start. Hamilton has also been hot, winning their last 4 games. They beat BC last week, Toronto, Ottawa, and Toronto again. Toronto and BC both have beat the Alouettes, who have the best record. This should be a good game, but if the Bombers play even half as well as last week, they should win by multiple scores.
Matchup 2: Calgary Stampeders (4-9-1) @ BC Lions (7-8)
Calgary is barely holding onto a playoff chance, but with the second worst record in the league, the chances of that happening are very small. BC on the other hand still has a good chance, but if they keep losing Edmonton may pass them, or Hamilton on the crossover. Both teams have been very cold lately, but with Nathan Rourke under centre, BC should be able to win this game handily.
Saskatchewan Roughriders (7-7-1) @ Edmonton Elks (5-10)
After playing the hottest team in the league the last two weeks, Edmonton has a break from Tre’s brother and their dominant defence. Last week, the Elks secondary struggled to stop Winnipeg from the air attack, as they had multiple big plays resulting in touchdowns. Kanny Lawler and Nic Demski cooked their defence all game long. But, Saskatchewan doesn’t have any receivers that are as good as Kenny Lawler, and they have been hot, but Edmonton was the hottest in the league before the two games against the Bombers. Saskatchewan has been hot, but Edmonton’s offence definitely could come back to life again, as they go from last in the league to tied 7th, with a chance of still making the playoffs. I think Edmonton will win this because they are playing for so much more than the Riders. Obliviously Saskatchewan is still trying to lock up a playoff spot in the west, so anything can happen in this game.
As someone who has no clue about the CFL, I enjoy these posts
Looking forward to it!!
