The BC Lions gave Saskatchewan their first loss in the same week that Toronto gave Montreal their first loss.
Matchup 1: Toronto Argonauts 37 - 18 Montreal Alouettes
Who needs Chad Kelly when you have Cameron Dukes am I right? Dukes had a pretty good game to put Toronto at 3-2. He had 131 yards and 1 touchdown on 16/20 passing. He also had 46 rushing yards. Ka'Deem Carey had a great night with 94 yards. Cody Fajardo only threw 6 passes and was 5/6 with 62 yards. Caleb Evans cam in and had 2 touchdowns, 2 interceptions, and 127 yards on 12/22 passing. Tyson Philpot caught another touchdown pass on the season.
Matchup 2: Calgary Stampeders 37 - 41 Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Have a game Zach Collaros! Zach had 344 yards, 2 touchdowns, but 2 interceptions on 27 completions. Brady Oliveira had 109 rushing yard and somehow no touchdowns. Chris Strevler had a rushing touchdown as a reward for getting the Bombers in the win colum last week as the starter. Ontaria Wilson had 201 receiving yards and one touchdown. Usually I like to hate on Sergio Castillo, but it's very hard to after this game. Sergio kicked 4/5 field goals, but one of them was from an amazing 57 yards, and made all 3 extra points. The CFL record for longest field goal is 62 yards, only 5 yards longer than Sergio's kick. Jake Maier had a good game too with 2 touchdowns, 2 picks, and 316 yards. Dedrick Mills had 131 rushing yards on the game.
Matchup 3: Saskatchewan Roughriders 20 - 35 BC Lions
Vernon Adams Jr is king. 451 yards in a football game is a career game, but he does this way too often. He did have 2 interceptions to only 1 passing touchdown, but he also ran for a TD. Justin Mclnnis had 243 receiving yards and the only BC receiving touchdown. With the Trevor Harris injury (see power rankings) Shea Patterson got the start. Patterson had 278 yards for 1 interception, no touchdowns, but an average of 11.1 yards per pass.
Matchup 4: Ottawa Redblacks 37 - 34 Edmonton Elks
Dru Brown had a career night with a crazy 480 yards and 2 touchdowns with one interception. The craziest part is he only had 26 completions formthat many yards. He spread the ball around well with 3 receivers with 110+ yards on the game. The kicker Lewis Ward went 5/5 on field goals with a long of 50, but went 2/3 on extra points. McLeod Bethel-Thompson had a decent game with 2 touchdowns and no interceptions as one of only 2 quarterbacks without one (minimum 10 passing attempts). He also had 272 yards on the same amount of completions as Dru Brown.
Player Of The Week: Dru Brown
Game Of The Week: Ottawa Redblacks @ Edmonton Elks
