Offences are heating up with scoring going up 18.4 percent in weeks 9-15 compared to weeks 1-8.
Matchup 1: Saskatchewan Roughriders @ Ottawa Redblacks
Both teams blew big leads last week. Ottawa lost to BC by 4, and Saskatchewan lost by 9 to the red hot Elks. So I will pick the Riders in this one.
Matchup 2: BC Lions @ Edmonton Elks
Both had unreal comebacks last week under their QB’s great games. BC has shut out Edmonton two times already this season. No team has ever shut out the same team three times in a season. BC was trailing 16 with 2:22 left in the game and ended up winning. But I think there is no way that the Elks star QB Tre Ford dosn’t get Most Outstanding Rookie. He has at least 50 rushing yards in all of his six starts this season. In four of those he had 70+ yards and in one of them he had 135 yards. In the last 2 games, the Elks outscored their opponents 34-0 in the fourth quarter. In both, they were losing by 10+ points but ended up winning. My prediction is the Elks are on top.
Matchup 3: Montreal Alouettes @ Calgary Stampeders
The 6-7 Alouettes have not been playing too well. But neither are the Stamps. So I think this is going to be a low-scoring game. So I pick Montreal.
Matchup 4: Hamilton Tiger-Cats @ Toronto Argonauts
Hamilton beat the Bombers last week, and the Argos had a comeback win against the Alouettes that ended with a great play.
So I pick the Argos this time.
I was 2-2 last week, now 6-6 overall.
