West Finals Preview: A Week 18 Rematch That Ended In OT
The Bombers will host BC in a win or go home game for a chance at the Grey Cup.
This might be the most exciting game of the season, the West regular season champs the 14-4 Winnipeg Blue Bombers will host the 12-6 BC Lions for a chance at the Grey Cup. They played on Thanksgiving Weekend which was the game of the year. Both QBs did good, VA had 352 yards and 1 touchdown but Collaros had 389 yards and 2 touchdowns. He had 3 turnovers, an INT and 2 fumbles in the red zone. The stat tiebreaker was RB Brady Olivera who had 67 yards and a game-winning touchdown.
In this game, Collaros at home will be great. VA will be too, but being at home for Collaros will just make Zach better. Brady Olivera, the West’s M.O.P. Nominee, the best running back in the CFL will help dominate the BC defence. They both have good receiving cores, with top receivers, but I think the Bombers’ receiving is slightly better. They have Schoen, Lawler, Bailey, Demski, and Wolitarski. BC has good receivers too, with Luckey Whitehead, Keon Hatcher, Alexander Hollins, Jevon Cottoy, and others I don’t know. I think BC has a better defence.
This is going to be a great game, maybe even better than week 18. But whoever wins has to face either Chad Kelly and his great offence or the team that currently is leading the East Final 10-3 at halftime, led by Marc Antonie Dequoy’s pic-six the Montreal Alouettes and their great defence. But in the end, only one team can win, and I think it will be the same winner as the last two matchups to go to the Grey Cup, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
